From 1997 MONTAЖ$TROJ’s activity migrated to Western Europe, building an international group with a strong artistic identity not linked to any specific culture. Acting nomadically, but predominantly in the Netherlands (under the Performingunit), MONTAЖ$TROJ focuses on the so-called "human condition", that is, the position of the individual and identity problems.
Project EXERCISES was MONTAЖ$TROJEVA two-week workshop, which explored the subject of identity in different geographic, social and political contexts. The project was performed at the Eurokaz Festival in Zagreb, OktoberDans Festival in Bergen and in the Nestheaters in Amsterdam. The workshops ended with a public presentation of the realized work, which also served as a conceptual elaboration and platform for the choice of artists that were to collaborate on the multiyear project FRAGILE.
