THE FOOTBALL BOOT IN THE MUSEUM

To battle! To ranks! For MONTAЖ$TROJ!

Precisely 20 years after its first public performance, MONTAЖ$TROJ again marked a museum space with football boots on December 22nd, 2009. The female football representation tore through the recently opened Museum of Modern Art in Zagreb in their football boots, announcing the dancing-football spectacle MY HEART BEATS FOR HER. Aside from announcing MONTAЖ$TROJ’s next project, the performance was a ritual homage to MONTAЖ$TROJ’s first public performance named THE FOOTBALL BOOT IN THE ART GALLERY and performed December 22nd 1989. In this manner MONTAЖ$TROJ marked off two decades of public activity, returning to the starting premises of "Theatralization of football culture" and juxtaposing football with contemporary social turmoil.
