Starting with January 20th, Borut Šeparović held a two-week workshop as the preparation phase of his new theatre project in Subotica (Serbia) in the Kosztolányi Dezsõ Theatre. The project will open some relevant questions regarding the idea of direct democracy. The piece is based on Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s text Blood on the cat’s neck. The premiere performance is expected by the end of April, 2012.
Collaboration with the Kosztolányi Dezsõ Theatre started at the Desiré Central Station festival in 2010 in Subotica, where two Šeparović’s pieces, FIRE-TECHNICS 2.0 and GENERATION 91-95, were performed with extreme success and recognition of the festival’s international audience.
