The new MONTAЖ$TROJ’s theatre premiere WHERE’S THE REVOLUTION, SCUM? directed by Borut Šeparović will be opening the 48th edition of the Belgrade international theatre festival Bitef on September the 20th at the Home of Youth in Belgrade.
Performance WHERE’S THE REVOLUTION, SCUM? questions the potential of the pop music in becoming a tool for advocating social change. Is the rebellion, which rock’n’roll music has created, just another commodity on the market? Are all those promises that art and music give false? WHERE’S THE REVOLUTION, SCUM? is a performance about the legal consequences of the attitude that music can be shared among each other without anyone losing anything. The performance WHERE’S THE REVOLUTION SCUM? has been created under the pressure and discrepancy between the context of censorship mutilation and the self-censorship that turned into a new context. It speaks about vanity, hypocrisy, and inconsistency in the society that deems money its highest value.
Since 1967. the festival Bitef follows the newest tendencies in contemporary theatre, positioning itself as the most important theatre festival in the region. On the last year’s edition of Bitef MONTAЖ$TROJ won the Special Jury Award with the performance 55+.
