EVERYBODY GOES TO DISCO FROM MOSCOW TO SAN FRANCISCO – REMIX

Man and woman spitting on each other. First they seem to be angry. Tense. Then they play. Enjoy. Happy. Licking spit off the other's body.

A feisty high-risk performance toyed with the trivialities of transitional mythology in another version of the project EVERYBODY GOES TO DISCO FROM MOSCOW TO SAN FRANCISCO. REMIX kept the elements of high-risk dance, direct contact and playing with the real regarding the performer’s body. The number of performers was reduced to three (two men and a woman) focusing on the intimacy of relationships, and leaving out the group dance sequences from earlier versions of the play. The performers’ personalities come to the forefront. Erotic games in the action scenes were an expression of a desperate desire for closeness with another person juxtaposed to a violent sporting competition.

EG2DFM2SF – REMIX premiered at the Prizma 2 festival in Oldenburg, and at the Bagnelot Presentation Winners in Frankfurt.
